I realized I could make this more of a teaching tool by adding more information. The ovaries contain the woman's eggs and they contain all of the woman's eggs. Women do not produce more eggs if something heppens to their ovaries. Men do produce sperm constantly however. Every month after a girl child reaches puberty and begins her 'periods' of menstruation, one of her ovaries releases an egg into the fallopian tubes, and it travels down the tube to the uterus,and it waits to see if a male sperm comes along during or soon after s-e-x [hyphenated so as not to cause robots scanning my words to think I am advertising for or soliticing that on line] to fertilize it. If the male sperm swimming upstream finds the egg and it has sort of built in radar to do that, and enters the egg then a new human being is begun right that fraction of a second. The male sperm enters the uterus at the mouth of the uterus which is shown on the painting as a horizontal line only at the bottom of the uterus,but in reality it is not a line but an opening called the 'mouth of the uterus' or the os [latin for mouth] of the uterus. Then the DNA and chromosones that are built into both the male sperm and the female egg begin immediately to follow the built-in by GOD instructions on how to create a new human and the fertilized egg begins to divide into more and more cells and each time replicates the pattern of instructions about what color of hair and what color of eyes, and how tall, and what body shape and build, and how big the hands, feet, bones will be. There are instructions passed from the male sperm and from the female egg to the new human and the new human has characteristics of both the daddy and the mama. If a male sperm of the thousands released during ejaculation, does not penetrate the egg then the special lining that was built up in the uterus to receive it sort of like a nest, washes away and that is what the menstrual period is and that happens every month for years until the woman ceases her period decades later.

There are some very good medical texts on this subject, and if you are interested I suggest you buy them or order them online since many public libraries have tried to prevent the teaching of any medical facts about how new humans are created and develop in the womb.
